Grows best in well-draining soil with at least 6 hours of full sun daily. We start our seeds indoors in soil we continue to build and reuse season after season, however many folks will wait until frost dangers have passed and plant seeds directly in the ground, or your raised garden bed, hugelkultur, or wherever you’d like to welcome colorful butterflies and other pollinator friends to your garden. You’ll have enough seeds to try out a couple locations around your home, homestead, or bugout spot. 

Our hearty sunflowers grow on average 6-10 feet tall, and these seeds were wildforged from our most abundantly productive sunflowers of 2020. Your seeds have been properly dried for next season’s garden, or for building up your family’s long-term seed storage and come in a heavy duty, multi-purpose, reusable long term storage bag. Thoroughly dried seeds do indeed store perfectly well in these bags. 

Feed yourselves, feed your families, your communities, and still have plenty to share with the birds with this abundant crop! We encourage you to save some of your own seeds after you harvest and continue to grow your own food for years to come. 🙂
