11319 Upcycled Seaglass, Aquamarine, Agate,Shell Necklace

This one of a kind necklace is almost 3″ long including the bale, and while a larger piece, it’s not
super heavy. Held within the shell with silver color copper wire is one of the most vibrant pieces of
aqua seaglass I’ve had the honor to work with.

I found it along the shore in WA state while photographing low tide to make my art cards and picking up garbage, on a self-lead adventure. I remember finding the glass in the damp, greyish sand on a cloudy day and and both the glass, and what I saw at low tide (seen here in this image from my RedBubble shop) was like nothing I’d ever seen.

This artisan pendant is perfect for the landlocked mermaid who works in the city and years for time by the sea, for the beautiful soul who is working on remembering to just breathe, and anyone who likes bespoke beach boutique jewelry. This necklace includes a 24″ bright silver color metal chain.

This stunning glass in shell is accompanied by aquamarine, the calming stone of the mermaids, and a green agate, which supports a stronger connection with the earth by reminding you to find ways to be out in nature more.  Glass, while a man-made element, typically comes from melted sand, and represents transformation, rebirth, communication, and attunement to all 4 of the elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Aquamarine also supports being of service and healing humanity, with the element of shell reconnecting us to our emotional body and our intuition.

Where does our natural seaglass or beach glass come from? Part of the core efforts and actions of Earthly Abundance includes picking up trash in nature, wherever we go. A typical ‘day at a beach’ for us includes offering Reiki to the ocean and the earth, writing uplifting messages in the sand, sipping water from reusable drinking containers, a stroll with cameras in hand, and most importantly, carrying a tote to pick up trash we come across, especially plastics (old drinking straws, pieces of disposable foot coverings, kids beach toys, drink containers, etc.).

That trash is recycled whenever possible or re-used to support environmental activism through educational art displays. When we come across seaglass or beach glass, glass that has been naturally tumbled smooth by the sea, instead of ending up in a landfill, that glass is instead cleaned and up-cycled and repurposed trash into beautiful artisan jewelry that helps save the planet. Each piece is unique and has a purpose that connects us all. You may be interested in browsing some of the other upcycled treasures in our webshop.

Your purchase helps us fund our beach cleaning and other earth-healing efforts (and our dreams) making the world a better, cleaner, safer, healthier, place of well-being for all.  We are so very grateful for your support!
