Starry Night Bath
Tonight, I bathed myself under a darkened sky bursting with stars. A plastic storage tote filled about 1/3 full with water from a hose, a bar of soap, and a tiny, stainless steel camping bowl. And a small wash cloth to dry off. It’s all I need. Staring up in awe over the milkyway and a billion celestial bodies sparkling right overhead, I am grateful for the water as I poured small bowlfulls over my body, getting every nook and cranny squeaky clean. Standing and squatting in this bin with water is a luxury when sponge baths are the new norm for a bit.
I am enjoying every moment and feel as sparkly as the starry starry night all around me.
