Shell

Shells help us with reconnecting us with our emotional (feeling) body, our intuition, our sensitivity, and our divine feminine. Shells also bring an increase of Goddess energy. Shell offers wonderful support when you’re doing work to support and strengthen your own inner divine feminine tap into your own inner Goddess, or even your own inner mermaid.

A few years back, I really began to understand what was happening when people kept walking all over me, especially at work. I was in people-pleaser mode all too often and I was not being assertive. I grew up in a family where the patriarch frequently vocalized his opinion as fact and I grew up with a belief that assertive and aggressive were one-in-the same, and was told people/men don’t like aggressive women. It set me up at a very early age for me treating myself like a doormat, and people will often treat you the way you treat you.

As I was releasing that doormat energy and strengthening my own inner Goddess through conscious and frequent acts of self care and self love and attending a couple marvelous retreats, I began to connect on a deeper level with shells, something I had not done much of since I was a young kid. I began finding unusual ones at the ocean, receiving unexpected gifts of shells and shell beads, and I began to explore creating art with shells.

I made myself all kinds of shell jewelry, I made myself a mermaid crown full of shells and shimmering baubles, and had all kinds of shells around the house and around the garden, reminding me of the divine feminine of our universe. It was around that time (2014) that I also started my RedBubble print shop under the name of GoddessChrissy, which was a way for me to assert myself and fully accept myself as an artist and make my art available to the entire world.

When I want to experience more of that delicious Goddess energy and explore my feeling body on a deeper level, wearing my shell jewelry helps me find my way back to my self and my power. As I continue to work on my self care and self love ongoing, I continue to discover new ways to connect with more unusual shells. A couple years ago, while exploring a public beach along the Oregon coast, I found a fossilized scallop shell in compressed volcanic ash and sand estimated to be around 25-30 million years old!

Fossilized coral with a couple different kinds of shells and gemmy blue apatite are what I chose for creating this set, channeling some of my own mermaid Goddess energy right into it, shown with that fossilized scallop shell I found. I’ve also created some naturally iridescent shell earrings, some paua (related to abalone) shell pieces, and various other pieces of unique shell jewelry, some of which you’ll find in our webshop. What a joy to be here now, dreaming and creating and sharing information and education through art, deepening connections near and far as we go. I am grateful my passions become deeper rooted as I evolve and grow my courage to fully continue to show up to my life, following the breadcrumbs of my passions and making new dreams come to life. Thank YOU for being HERE. <3 Love, C
